Frontline EP 05 comprises 12 primetime tracks, with the lead track Trigger coming in the form of a 6 minute chugger, dubbed with french accented vocals, from second time Bottle affiliates Señor Chugger & Count Van Delicious. Other down tempo weapons have also been provided by Seka, who’s track syzygy hits hard with an acid twinge underpinned by rolling synths, and also Futureboogie alumni Natural Sugars with his track Old Romantic. Some fierce drum workouts also feature, with Bouki’s contribution ‘Stasis’ another highlight, along with Gallegos’s ‘Big Fat John Breaks,’ which hits like 3 tracks all at once with panned drum breaks and tough acidic stabs giving way to a soothing piano refrain. Some atmospheric Electro comes in the form of Pi-Singers ‘Tardy,’ which sits nicely alongside Blixa’s dubbed out roller ‘Movida.’ The compilation in its variety reaches all ends of the spectrum, with Egodeath’s batshit conspiracy techno track ‘Personal Data’ exuding shades of Crystal Castles, all the way back to Admin’s ‘Only You,’ who’s walking bassline and laid back tones offering some memorable respite.
